Uness Announces "Never Home Until I Wander," a Six-Year Journey Home, Out August 22
Uness, the trilingual singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist, announces the release of his third official EP, "Never Home Until I Wander," arriving August 22 on all major platforms.
The EP marks the end of a six-year unfolding. In the wake of the pandemic, with time suddenly wide open, Uness stepped away from the big city noise, into nature and into new music influences. What began as a search without a fixed destination eventually led him back to the classroom, enrolling at university to pursue his education. He landed in Ndakina, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Abenaki people, commonly known as the Eastern Townships, and it was there that this project found its shape.
"This land is the backdrop of this EP," Uness explains. "It's what inspired me to write it. Every word and every note in it is intentional." The countryside, the forests, the way the light falls at sunset over open fields; it has a way of stopping time still. It's a presence in the story, something almost otherworldly, a quiet supernatural pull that runs beneath every song.
Musically, "Never Home Until I Wander" is the closest thing yet to Uness's essence. While R&B, the genre he grew up in, never fully captured who he was becoming, NHUIW reaches for a wider canvas, different shades of soul that keep you company on a drive at dusk, along the 147. It is, in his words, the truest reflection of who he is musically at the moment.
"Never Home Until I Wander" is a deliberate turning of the page and an ode to love and "the beyond." On August 22, Uness shares the EP with everyone who has been part of this new chapter, especially the people of this land who walked alongside this adventure, whether they knew it or not.
"Never Home Until I Wander" releases August 22 on all major streaming platforms.

Uness, Never Home Until I Wander EP à paraître le 22 août
